NOW that's what i call doodling, volume 91

not many of my recent posts have been what i consider doodles, which is what i set out to make this blog about. i don't regret having more direction in what i draw lately, only that my mission statement has been outgrown.

here, then, is some true doodling. no pencils before pen, no planning or sequence, no sensible content. just drawing on a free notepad while i was supposed to be doing other things:

these guys wouldn't really have any reason to fight, especially hand-to-hand, unless it was a training sequence or something:

the problem is that the color is so dark that the two figures run together. i might need to give them special costumes just for while they're training.

here are some more cobra character designs, plus some evidence that drawing a character slumped against a wall was harder than i had anticipated.

i drew this to send to my cousin at boy scout camp, so in a way it is based on a true story.

i don't think i've ever tried this hard to draw a building before. i usually just realize that i don't know what i'm doing and give up. though the result is modest, i have no choice but to consider this a raging success.

i rewrote the plot of my g.i. joe story a little today, so my major bludd analogue sort of ended up changing allegiances, which necessitated a change in color palette.
